Chong the Nomad, aka Alda Agustiano, went from quirky youth with no formal mentor to a unique composer. Evolving on her own allowed her to develop her signature style, incorporating a formal background in scoring and chamber music as well as informal training in YouTube music trailers.
Her most recent EP, Love memo, was a product of circumstance and a purposeful effort to maintain her creative hustle. Agustiano talks about the EP as something to pour her feelings into when she was feeling lonely last winter.
“It was a project of healing.”
