Aubrey Haddard values raw vulnerability in her music. On ‘Blue Part,’ her solo debut, the Boston-based musician explores themes of love and passion in her life. In this episode, we talk with Aubrey about finding a place for her raspy, bluesy voice as a woman in music, finding a connection to the Boston music community, and coming into her own as a solo artist after years of collaborative projects.
“The solo project started out with just my bare ideas. It felt really vulnerable which is something I value highly in other artists and the music that I make. I always want it to feel sort of vulnerable and raw.”
