Episode 66: Electro-pop Due Loi Loi Keeps Moving, Evolving

Loi Loi started in China, continued in Spain, and now is based in Washington, D.C. In each place, the band has evolved in sound, language, and performance to speak to the present while retaining pieces of its journey. Made up of siblings Kristie and Johnny, Loi Loi will release an EP on DC’s Blight Records this fall called Viva La Vulva that represents who they are now.

We talk to Kristie about the influence of DC, planning a performance, working with family, and what people can expect from Viva La Vulva.
