Lady Pills’ recently released debut album Despite is as unique as their origin story. They met at Berklee School of Music, one member learned a new instrument for the band, and they straddle the Berklee and DIY live scenes in Boston.
Their album offers anti-love songs that combine musical skill with lyrics ranging from vengeful to sad, and even playful.
We talked to them about their experiences with different scenes, being an all-women band, their favorite songs to play, and how their formal musical training affects their music.
