femchord features women and gender non-binary people in all aspects of music. We look to highlight stories of people who make, promote, talk about, and love music through feature-length pieces, interviews, reviews, scene reports, etc. We’re dedicated to promoting pieces that highlight diverse experiences with music.
We’re looking for contributors to write, take photos, and record audio interviews. We have no geographic parameters—if it’s cool, we want to know about it!
How to pitch us:
- First thing’s first: Check out the current content on femchord to see what topics/people we’ve already covered. We want unique stories.
- Email us with the subject line “Pitch: [your idea]” and 1. a few lines about yourself and your areas of interest; 2. a short description of the piece you want to write; and 3. links to your work you want to share.
- We’ll make sure to respond within a week to talk through your idea or suggest a new one.
Currently, we do not have the capacity to pay our contributors.
